North Cyprus:Guzelyurt Museum:
The museum houses a collection ranging from the
prehistoric age of Cyprus to the Byzantine period. Primitive tools
uncovered from different prehistoric settlements around Cyprus, and
samples of pottery from the Bronze Age are exhibited at the museum. A
red on white and red polished earthen pot belonging to the Early Bronze
Age, a red on white pot belonging to the Middle Bronze Age, and a red
glossed pot belonging to the Late Bronze Age can be seen at the museum.
Furthermore, findings from the Toumba Tou Skourou settlement close to Guzelyurt and items from the Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman Periods
are on exhibition. Back |
